L-Arginine and sport

L-Arginine plays a detoxifying role in the body. It cleanses the body from the accumulation of ammonia deriving from the deamination process of adenosine monophosphate, a condition that occurs following intense muscular activity and that is responsible for the feeling of tiredness.

Taking it is recommended for anyone who does physical activity of a certain intensity (resistance training, cycling, cross-country skiing, triathlon, etc.). L-Arginine is also a precursor of creatine. It controls and increases its rate of synthesis. It participates in the synthesis of other amino acids and glucose, and is therefore one of the glycogenetic amino acids. This means that, when energy reserves are limited, this amino acid can be catabolised in order to produce energy.

Why Zentrum

Zentrum, thanks to its high content of L-Arginine, stimulates the synthesis of nitric oxide in the blood vessels, improves vasodilation, allowing faster transportation of nutrients to the muscles, with consequent increased muscular hypertrophy and strength.

Contraindications

The use of arginine is contraindicated for persons who frequently experience outbreaks of herpes virus. The L-arginine amino acid can reactivate episodes of that strain of virus.
